Well, im 14 years old and often have weird disturbing dreams.

In my dreams people often die, or get hurt by me or someone/something else.

Don't get me wrong or anything, but im really not a horrible person! Im full of life, love my friends to bits and im bubbly.
I would never dream of hurting anyone but just in my dreams its just.. A feeling i cant describe!
I often feel sad in my dreams, and angry, many of the times scared.
I had this dream last night which was really disturbing:S
I was this girl with a group of my friends and this man kept stalking us.. Killing us off one by one..In my dream,
I went to the door and let my cat in..
(I dont actully have a cat in real life) So anyway, i let my cat in and then something was trying to get in. So i closed the door and i could see some kind of man looking through the glass door trying to find me.

What do these dreams mean?
How can i stop them??
Please help!

I have had extremely violent dreams my entire life. Granted I'm only 26 but I had night terrors and still do to this day have them. When I sleep 1/5 times I have a nightmare of myself doing horrible things or horrible things happening to me or others. 1/10 times I go to sleep I wake up with night terror and usually fighting off some demon from my bed for a few seconds before I regain control over my senses.

I have a normal life other than that. There is nothing wrong with you mentally.

Think of it this way. Your mind is filling in a neglected need for violence by giving you dreams that depicte violence. That might sound weird but why else do people like to watch violence or hear about violence. The greater your subconsence's need for violence is the more you lust for the violent movies or stories. You could attempt to watch more violent movies and read scary books alone and such. It will build up a tolerance or fill that need.

Being scared or disturbed helps you understand how lucky your real life is and you can be gratful its not like your dreams.

dreams are very essential to a persons ability to handle situations...Dreams act like your own personal psychiatrist, by showing you the aorst of anythin that can happen they prepare you for bad times.. is there something important coming up? or something your really tensed about? that could be one reason.. just let them pass..

it could also be because of acidity/ gastro problems..maybe the lack of water. So follow this: just before you sleep use the toilet and also drink a glass of water.. shut all possible sources of light or sound (even the glow of the dvd player) if u have a pet put it out.. The best position to sleep is on your right side.. theres no pressure on your heart or your stomach. avoid sleeping on you stomach or flat on you back with your hands on you chest.. this is pretty essential..

try making a list of the possible things it could be because and try overcoming/completing those things.. also maintain a "dream diary" if you do remember your dreams well then write down the entire description including colours, dimensions everything... if u cna, u may even sketch out undescribable things...you can meet up with a psychiatrist and discuss this..

if you dont want to meet a shrink and besides doing all tht
you still have these dreams, try setting a loud alarm, when you wake up with a start, theres minimal chances of you remembering your dreams-- so there wont be any hanunting for u.

Dreams are our minds way of working out stuff we might not be willing to face or just under the surface of our mind.
The type of dreams you are describing are chase or following you dreams. This means there's something you are avoiding thinking about, something negative most likely. So ask yourself what have you been avoiding? Its not that you are a mean person or want to have people die but you are trying to kill off something you dont want to know or think about. Try writing free flow about the dreams and see what happens.
Hope they stop.

Disregarding those psychoanalysts who read drastic things into people's dreams and people like Juliette (answer above), I doubt that most dreams are any more than just that, bad dreams with no significance.
If you stop dwelling on bad dreams you might end up having some good ones.

you have dreams because :

You dont not use mind reasoning techniques to solve all your problems and let them accumulate and because of that you get dreams .

Reason out all your problems and have a good night rest.
