You might find this crazy disgusting as I did at your age, but I recently tried a product called the DivaCup. You put it in like a tampon but it is a cup that collects the blood. There are two great aspects to it: 1) you only have to change it every 12 hours (ie. twice a day, once in the morning once at night)
2)you aren't polluting the environment! think how many pads and tampons are thrown into the sewage all around the world!

I was freaked out that it would be gross or uncomfortable, but it's neither! I just wish I'd found out about them earlier! If you google DivaCup you'll find some info about them. I really recommend it!! (and no I don't work for the company lol, just really satisfied!!)

I know in Japan there's a button you push or something to cover the sound of going to the bathroom.

Um... Try flushing the toilet when you first go into the stall and *then* pull off the pad. The flush will cover the the sound. Then you can do whatever else you need to do.

And people will just think that whoever was in the stall before you didn't flush or the toilet is clogged. They wont think anything of 2 flushes.

I remember being embarressed about stuff like that in high school aswell. Thankfully I can assure you that given time you will not worry about it anymore.
If you can use tampons they are more discreet, not just for the noise factor but to carry around, plus they are more comfortable in my opinion.

Remember that any girls who hassle you because they hear you changing your pad are just being extremely childish and are not worth worrying about.

yes i know what you mean...ask if you can go during class (especially works with men teachers as they are pertified at the word period lol)
I have the same issue, but i think as more people start their periods it is less of a problem.
Be open about it with your friends.
Change just before school, just in case.
Anyway, tampons ARE a option, but not necessary,
I used to be worried about how to take the pads with me (i started when i was on crutches cringe) it was so hard.
Hope that helps!

You could try a heavier holding pad, or heavy flow tampons. Theyre not as messy, and you cant feel the blood coming out.

Try using the slim fit tampons they are made for girls a bit younger, but pads might be the most comfortable for you so don't worry about what the other girls think, they have their periods too.

i have got 2 options for u...
1) try to use TAMPOONS it wont make any noise or anything and no one will know it...
2) turn on the flush completely before u remove the pad, it will make more noise than removing of the pad, so no one will know...
all the best
