You can't stop using drugs for her. You need to do it for your self. Look at the reasons why you are using. Change those, get counselling to help you work through your issues that are bringing you down. You need to find inner healing to release yourself from your addiction. She needs to support you though by not indulging (as you put it) with you or even on her own. By stopping for yourself you will learn that when problems arise you can handle them without resorting to excuses of use. ie: because of a relationship issue. You will then be a better and stronger person for your partner and children and friends and your work.

Here we go. Someone else blaming their inability to be a responsible human on the word "Addiction". If you care about yourself or your new partner in any way shape or form, take charge of your life for once and throw the drugs away. Only a coward hides behind the word "Addiction"

You have got to want this droppin the (whatever kind of) drugs for yourself. In order to be successful @ make this work. Havin her by your side can only be a plus thru this hard time. But, you have to want to do it for yourself. Drop the $***(drugs) and move on w/ your life(hopefully w/ her) and don't look back.
Good luck!

First decide you want help, then find a drug treatment program & go stay there awhile. Worry about everything else later, they will help you learn how to cope.
