I can not emphasize this enough GO SEE A BREAST FEEDING NURSE. they have things like nipple guards. You may be having a bad technique not at all your fault. People think BF comes naturally, IT DOES NOT. Get help for yourself there is no shame in asking. I am a nurse and i have taught people to breast feed with good holding techniques. In fact i am a USArmy nurse and was deployed to pakistan for earthquake relief, we delivered a lot of babies and i taught a lot of breast feeding without a translator. If i can do it withoutknowing any of the language you can definitly have not painful breastfeeding. Most hospitals have a breast feeding nurse, call the place you delivered at and talk to them they will help you. if you have any questions please feel free to contact me ill help you as best as i can

DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYONE WHO SAYS BREASTFEEDING IS PAINFUL AND JUST DEAL WITH IT. IT DOES NOT NEED TO BE PAINFUL AND THERE ARE WAYS TO COMBAT IT JUST ASK FOR HELP. NO ONE SHOULD SUFFER. Thats is the number 1 reason why people stop breastfeeding is because it hurts and the only reason it hurts is bad technique from not being taught properly. and baby not having a good latch. Unless you are taught how to help baby have a good latch and how to recognize a good latch you will never know and your breasts will start to bleed. please dont give up and please just go talk to a breastfeeding expert. dont listen to goon's who are not trained.

You mean the care plan specifically for "Pain while Nursing" or the Care Plan for "Risk for Pain"

If you are more specific, I will help you........email me:

Use lanolin gel on your nipples to ease the pain and just deal with it. It's painful and sometimes even down into your toes but that's nursing. It gets easier and less painful over time.
