It seems to me that it shows you have a bit of respect for yourself as well as for the other person because you took the extra trouble to spell correctly.

Why? Are we all being graded on spelling? Is this a test?

Some people feel lik they gotta use perfect english and spell every word correctly. Others are just more conserned that they get thier message across.

Some people do, and many don't! Spelling errors in questions and answers (except those arising inadvertently or due to usage in different countries), are very annoying. If YA could make a spell check compulsory before a question/answers is accepted, this could perhaps bring in more discipline. However, this is not the solution. People should realize themselves the need for correct spelling.
