I read on Teletext that Ireland had beat Pakistan on Duckworth Lewis method.
I didn't bother to listen after the rain break as I was expecting the game to end today (18th).
However looking at the score card, Ireland scored 133, so how is this a D/L win?

Yorkshire, thank you, but please explain why, when there was a reserve day today.
And also if the D/L method was used why did Ireland have to still score 133?

There was a rain delay and Ireland were set a revised target of 128 to win.
But Trent Johnston hit a 6 when they were on 127, so they did in fact make 133 (for 7), and so won by 3 wickets.
Well done Ireland!

The method is used to see how much the rain would have cost Ireland. So the ammount of runs required was lowered to 128. Ireland needed only one point, when trent johnstone scored his 6 to give us the victory by 3 wickets

It was a duckworth lewis match with a 15 minute delay - however I would say Ireland won fair and square and deserve every bit of praise that they are given - go the Irish!

actually they win in all field bating bowling and fielding and all minds game thats one pakistan is not cabaable
well your question is vaild enogh but they just need only 1 run but they don't wanna hit single so they hit 6 and thats is a real win in all way i watching cricket since 1980 when i am in 10th year and that is worse defeat in all way in the game of cricket
i am big fan of pakistani player but truth is truth they are loser and big loser they have to go for jail for 4 yrs and inzy have prison for all the life

its to do with rain stopped play.they calculate how many overs they lost and divide it by the required run rate to come up with a revised figure.well done ireland
