no. each have different stories but the same theme. there are also recurring villains and summons (you'll know this when you get well acquainted with the game) and they will play different roles to the characters of the stories. but some titles have spin-offs such as the final fantasy x-2, a sequel to the final fantasy x and the dirge of cerberus, a sequel of ffvii although it is a lot different. the agito is also a sequel of final fantasy xiii, the newest ff title.

Play final fantasy 10 for playstation 2. It's a great introduction to the series. It's got an amazing story and some of the best RPG gameplay ever. That and you can get it used for under $20, so you can't go wrong.

no, but most basics and things are in the old ones, but they are different from each other, but some titles share some things in common like, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Final Fantasy Twelve, they have the same world, the other sequels are said, gud luk

Not at all, they don't go in sequence, but I do believe there was 10 and 11 or something like that. But not necessary.
