I am the designated driver for our group because I never drink. .never have never will.
But tonight my buddy got too drunk and when I told him to give me his keys, he refused, I told him he was going nowhere until he gave me his keys, he refused.
Then he took a step forward and I put my hand on his chest to stop him. . when a knuckle sandwich was heading right for me face.
He was drunk, and slow, and out of luck.
I knocked his @$$ out cold on St. Paddy's day.
I picked him up and took him and his girl friend home(no cops) and as I left his girlfreind thanks me for saving his life.
It's nearly dawn and HAD to ask.
Has this EVER happened to you?
Tell Matticus he WANTS to KNOW. P.S. He's fine, stupid but fine.

If you are second guessing yourself, don't. You did the right thing. Most likely your friend won't even remember. Sometimes you have to be more mature than the majority. Good work. No regrets. You saved someone's life tonight.

I have never been in that situation before but I am the same way with not drinking and driving and if that was me I would be thanking you in the am for helping me make the right decsion. Also I hope when I get put in your shoes I have enough in me to knock the person out. Great job you did a good thing.

No- but good on you for being so responsible. Dosy bastard should thank his lucky stars for having such a good friend- stupid git should have given you the keys while sober and not a five-glass bastard.
My tale of woe is being tipsy and bored right now...

Drunk people are a blast, yea that's happened before, the whole arguing about forfeiting the keys of the trashed, but never hit anyone, I've had to duck, but I've never hit anyone

No, i'm still only 19, so no parties with alcohol for me, but at home when a few friends get together and we drink (me hardly any, and they get drunk), i'm the designated safe keeper- one time a friend cut his foot on some glass he broke when he was drunk, and he couldn't feel it, but he was bleeding all over my house- glad i wasn't drunk. another time, my bf was all wobbly and dizzy and i helped him into bed and stopped him from spinning... I like to be the one to help out- they are funny to watch when drunk, but it's more fun to make sure they are safe... â¥
