it would be a very hard figure to arrive at, but i can walk you through some of it. currently in 2007, so the figures i will show you are slightly backdated.
according to the CIA World Fact book of 2007, the world's approximate population was 6,525,170,264 at July 2006. and of that, 1,018,057,389 are Internet users BUT that is a 2005 estimate figure. so given that the availability of Internet is so vast to people, say a growth rate of 3% every year, and that itself is being very generous, currently there are 1,080,057,083 users on the Internet now.
but since your question considers those who had used the Internet before, that i presume that includs those who has Internet access and calls their friends over to have a look see and use it for a while and brag about it, i would add another 30% to the 2007 figure, and that figure is a real one given that most people would like to brag about their amenities that others don't have and proclaim it to the entire world, there would be approximately 1,404,074,209 people out in the world that has experienced the Internet some way or another.
