if i upgrade my asdl broadband from 256/54 kbps to what my isp call a faster speed of 1500/256 kbps will i need to upgrade my either of my pc's (one is a mac and the a pc laptop, or can i just maintain what i have. I just dont understand and dont want to upgrade my broadband if it means having to upgrade my hardware, (does this make sense??) its all to confusing. I hope somebody understands what I am asking ? but feel free to ask me for more information, cheers

your data usage is limited mostly by your processors run speed. If you have a slow processor you may want to get a new processor (or a new computer) before upgrading to a faster internet. If you have a good fast one (say a pintium 4 for better) then your fine

You do not need to upgrade your systems to use a faster bandwidth. The bandwidth is adjusted by your ISP on their servers.

No, you need to call your ISP and request more bandwith. They will charge you more but it's worth it. I have full T1 from my local cable company and it's worth every penny to download porn in a matter of minutes.

I wouldn't think you would have to upgrade anything. If there was need to upgrade it would be something alongthe lines of your NIC. But I doubt that.
