no, all you need to do is work at the basics and practice. once you are really good at those you can try the little bit of skill, not too much or you will wreck your game. if you do that you will start to become more talented as you go. then try and go for a small club and get better and bigger.

On a technical stand point since you only started playing soccer at 15 and most players at your age will have started much younger so your competition will be steep since they will have had more years of experience that will have added to their skill level at this point.
I recently found out many players are picked up by the big teams around 15 and play in the clubs youth team, so they will have been part of a club for years before some are eventually brought up to the professional league...
But if you play well and with a lot of heart and have great determination and spirit who says what a person can or can't do? Who is anyone to say you are too old?
If you can truly see yourself achieving this goal then I think you should continue working towards your goal. You know its a young man's sport so you would only have a few more years to build your skills up to try break into the league... So why not go for it as long as its possible?

If you're in any league team (at least league two) you should never give up. At every chance you get, try your best to show off your skills and bring out the Zidane within you even if it pisses your mates. It's a risk but if you wanna be 'special' then go on. Play safe and you won't stray from the level of footie you're playing now. Luca Toni wasn't really discovered until he was 27. Only at that age, people started hearing about him and he proved to be among Italia's elite strikers.

Try and work your way into a division 3 or even 2 academy and show them what youve got. If u play well, u can work ur way 2 the top into Division 1. From there, u can be one of those "special players"
