It's very early days yet and for a rookie to finish third in the F1 championship is a big ask. As yet he does not know all the circuits and is lacking in experience. But yes it is possible. I have been a F1 fan for longer than I care to remember and the first time I saw Schumaker I thought I was watching a potential world champion. This morning I got that same tingle watching a young man at the start of his career who has that same will to win coupled with a very cool head. One mistake in his first Grand Prix and immediately he had settled down again. Maybe not this year but he is one to watch for the future.

NO chance... The kid needs more what should I say experience. Australia is a horrible circuit. Soon the cars will reach monacco and Spain. The top three this year will be Alonso, Kimi and Massa... May be Fisichela or Speed.
Hamilton needs more X-perience.

He shows such professionalism, respect and skill, that one must believe he is the next great driver for F1. And what a season we can look forward to finally, after years of predictability. Can Alonso repeat with his team mate, Raikkonen and Massa all breathing down his champions neck? Who knows, but I'm sure going to be watching with bated breath. And the cars this year are spectacular. The Ferraris, Merc-Macs and BMW-Saubers are wonderful looking, while the Toys and Hondas look promising as well. Coultard took an impressively bad corner nearly decapitating Alex Wurz into the bargain. All in all it was a very good afternoon of F1.

Well on his first performance, we have to say yes. He is a great hope, and like mention above, what confidence. I saw the interview with button...not looking a happy chappy was he...perhaps a bit of competition for him and coultard may raise their game a bit, as long as their respective teams ensure their cars can perform against Mclaren and Ferrari. Think todays top three, could be the final 3 for sure.

Top three unlikely, although he has a good chance of being in the top four, considering the car he is driving. He would be incredibly lucky (talented) to get into the top three, as i do not see him outscoring Kimi, Massa and Alonso.

Quite possible. Scoring points in his first GP is a great start. Ithink he would of had Alonso if not for the pit stops.

It's possible, but if he can finish fourth this year, right behind Alonso, Kimi and Massa this season would be great for him !!!!!
