Aside from first-person shooters, what other games are worth getting?

Depends on what you're into--NFS: Carbon and PGR3 are pretty good racing games (Forza 2 will be when it comes out in May), Tomb Raider Legend was a good action/adventure/platformer, Crackdown and Saints Row were both good sandbox-style games, Oblivion was an awesome RPG...again, it depends on the games you like--but those should certainly get you started. Viva Pinata is fun... Get on the Xbox Live Arcade and download Geometry Wars... that's super fun.
Gears of War is the 'killer app,' at least until Halo 3 is released... it's a third-person shooter.
There are also sports titles as usual... if you're a fan of racing check out PGR3 and Need for Speed Carbon.

I did not know there was a xbox 306, I have used the xbox 360 and love playing Lara Croft on all levels
