Sure...but the liberals would have a hissy fit if we went in there to help.

I think if you ask many people about Zimbabwe they will say they care, and the same goes for the government. The problem we have as a nation is we used to be the colonial power over Zimbabwe and this means we have tread cafefully. What as a country we need to do is put some pressure on neighbouring African such as South Africa to put some internal presure on Mugabie.
If people do feel strongly about this though people should right to the MEP if in the UK and Europe and get them to take action on your behalf!

When Mugabe came to power he was the darling of the Labour Party which heaped praise on him and his political party. When in 1983 Mugabe sent his North Korean trained fifth brigade to murder as many as 25,000 of the Ndebele people because Joshua N'Komo his main political rival was from that tribe what did the Labour Party say or do?. Just the same as they are saying and doing now, very little.
To be fair however the Conservative leadership to their shame have followed the same policy at this time.

When it's in my face in the papers and stuff, I think about it.
I was looking up crimes and murders, and came across a link to the Zimbabwe Farm Murders. It was horrific. I can watch ANYTHING, I love autopsies, looking at crime scenes etc, but when I saw this on the internet, it really got to me. The Zimbabweans ordered by Mugabe to 'Take back' the farms and the land. Jeez, they were torturing and murdering the white farmers, their families, babies. F***ing hell. I was horrified , and it takes a LOT to shock ME.
But the thing is, when they 'took back' the farms, they were left in ruins because the Zimbabweans couldn't run them and even maintain the land. What a waste.
Sorry to go on and on, but you should check out the Farm Murders. Shocking.

if the leader of zim wants to be a ruthless dictator, he knows he can, he knows europe will do nothing, he knows britain is so badly stretched she cant equipe her own forces, she is sinking her own navy, grounding her own air force , in irak, we might get some of the cost back, from oil. but in zim, theres nothing to recouperate the cost. its up to the yanks again the ones that are being slagged of as bullies, they are also needed to bully the zim bully. What I would do if talks fail is train a large african army taken from outher african countries that sypathise and let them sort out their own. These things dont come cheap, its tax payers at the end of the day, and the britains money is not safe while we have a tax mad bloodsucker at the wheel.

Yes he has been burning and forcing the white farmers off their land for years long before 9/11 and Iraq make you realize that if Bush,Blair and Howard were genuine about dictators that murder their people Mugbe would have been gone a long time ago.Its those double standards again and nothing in it for them like oil.

What goes around comes around.
They tortured and killed defenceless white men, women and children, how many of the Zimbabweans came to the defence of those people?
They got what they wanted, the West can't keep overthrowing governments, we have enough unrest in our own countries, they do in fact get plenty of aid from the west.

Yes, I care. It seems that nobody wants to do anything about helping the place become democratic. No money in it, I suppose, rather sadly.
