photoshop problem?

i cannot use brushes anymore. I select the brush tool, but when i try to paint on the picture nothing happens. i cannot see anything on it. the mode is normal, opacity 100%, flow 69%

Trying hitting CTRL D. You may have something selected that you don't see. Make sure you are painting with something other than white. Make sure you are on the correct layer. Close the picture and open it again. Try closing the program and restarting it.
