what do i put in "artwork" in the get info portion of a song in itunes? the picture of the album? or the picture of the song single?

Copy a picture of the album etc < Drag the picture in the box *where it says no artwork modified or something* VOILA! Done.

when you want to put an song you have to be connected to the Internet.

so just buy your song (not on the Internet though) and the picture will just automatically come up!
