I think that any alien life would be a threat to any others of less technological advancement.
It has happened here on earth since the beginning of man and we are all from the same source.
Imagine the reaction to an alien from another planet.

I don't think it's much of a threat, really. I mean, it's about 500 million miles away and not doing anything except going around the sun. Actually, that's probably the best kind of enemy to have-- one that can't hurt you.
