should'nt that be the american slogan these days? with everybody getting free get out of jail passes

I agree but people dont forget what others have done nor do they forgive the person. For example I could never forgive someone if they raped my little girl and once they were out of jail I would never forget and I would make sure my little is safe at all times. So I will never forgive nor will I forget. Neither will the police as there would be protocols in place so this didnt happen again- restraining order etc.

Forgiving is the easy part. I've forgiven people for doing many hurtful things to me in the past, but I will never forget. I don't think it's anything to do with today's society though.
