Can anyone explain concerning torrent?

I downloaded a file of size 50 MB using Bit torrent.It has downloaded the file into 5 parts.It is an exe file.How can I join them?What should I do now? Can I just run the exe file in !st part?Actually what is bit torrent?What does it do?

What does the five parts look like?

It's likely a .RAR file, followed by .001, .002, and so on.

If it is, use 7Zip or ExtractNow to extract it.

Else, you'll have to give us some info about those 5 parts, like extensions at the minimum.

As for what is BitTorrent, it's a peer to peer file sharing technology and protocol.
