Possible but not probable !!
At least not in the next--say--3 billion years !!

Yes, it's possible, but highly unlikely.

An asteroid hitting it would knock it out of its orbit, but only into another orbit...

If you're referring to the earth leaving the solar system altogether, we'd need something much more massive than the sun (any takers??) at just the right spot at just the right time. The earth would try to orbit around that, and if it's positioned correctly, the earth would follow the path of a hyperbola or the path of a parabola, and we'd never be heard from again!

The first law of newton states as
An object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion with the same speed and in the same direction 'unless acted upon by an unbalanced force'.

So the Earth could not leave it's orbit unless a unbalanced force acted upon it.

I remember Star Wars, when their engine was broken, princess Leia said "would it help if i get out and push ?"
So, of course earth can leave it's orbit. But it requires a lot of us to get out and push.

It is very possible if some energy large enough disrupted our gravity track. Now, the energy mass would have to be the equivalently of 999 trillion nuclear explosions which would is highly unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Yes. it is possible...not probable however. If it were struck by a large enough meteor or asteroid shower. But we'd all die...so it wouldn't matter if it did.

More probable is the possibility of an asteroid knocking it out.

We'll destroy ourselves from within first...
