It goes away looking for the dark so it can go to sleep, but it can't find the dark, why is that? Would you stump a third grader with this question. Not if they are smart, and some kids are, are we?

no no, don't say silly things, silly boy. the sun doesn't goes anywhere. its the earth that moves, rotates. and earth is round. so when one side faces the sun, for the other side the sun has 'gone during the night'.
