Hey, whats a good but cheap graphics card which can play todays games? Basically I don't really need a top of the line card, just something that can run todays games at some level. Right now I'm still on a Geforce 4, 64 mb card (yeah I know, stop laughing). So I figured it was time to upgrade

Ok, good timing, you need an upgrade, ok, I been in that AGP era for a really long time, recently moved to PCI-Express, Anyway, here is a list of midrange:

1) Sapphire Ati Radeon 9550,9600,x700,x800,x1300,x1600 ( shader 2.0)
2) XFX Geforce 6200 ,6600,7300,7600 ( shader 3.0)

Also try MSI Geforece series 7600 GS its pretty good.

check tomshardware.com, each month they judge what the absolute best card for the money is, and they do it for all price ranges in 50 dollar increments. then buy the card from newegg.com, because they have the best service and the lowest prices.

i didn't answer by giving you a card model because the answer will certainly be different in a few weeks
