I need it for a Comenius multilateral partnership project. That's why I listed just those countries; they are all admitted by the European Union to be part of Socrates-Comenius school partnership projects. I'd be really delighted if we can be in touch, why not even e-twing or sth of the kind, with countries that are not European Union members ( we can share lots of things in order to know each other, to improve aso). All the best, dear colleagues !

The very first thing you need to do is to go to the government web site of the countries where you think you may want to be and find their pages on immigration. READ EVERYTHING. If you type in "immigration to ..." for whatever country, you will get many web pages. Look for official government ones. Stay away from ads for immigration lawyers. For a US citizen to legally work in another country, you need to have the proper kind of visa. Getting a visa that allows you to work can take a looong time - years. The best way would probably be to get a job with a company that has offices in one of those countries then get them to sponsor you for immigration to that country. The second best way is to have job skills that are unique or highly in demand, so that the openings cannot be filled by that country's citizens. You may be able to get useful information on web sites that are used by or run by expats from the US who live in one of your target countries. Do a google search for something like "US expats in ....", using whatever country you want to look for. You can hire lawyers in other countries to help you go through the immigration process more quickly, but I have no idea if it actually makes a difference, and it is certain to cost a lot of money.

Hi I'm a teacher but I'm not from any of the countries you listed. I'm from Australia. You didn't say why you needed contacts.
