There are no black roses in existence my friend. You have to make them with food coloring. Just put them in a high concentration of food coloring in water after picking them. Mixing all the colors together will probably make something close to black for you.

Black roses haven't been bred yet, as suggested they are either sprayed at the florist or dyed.

There are some very dark black reds such as 'Taboo' but thats as black as it gets naturally. If you grew a rose from seed it wouldn't flower true to type, you would be better to grow from cutting to get the exact colour of the parent plant.
The first person to grow a black rose will make millions.

The best way to grow roses is to buy them when they are dormant in winter and plant into well prepared ground (plenty of manures & compost). they develop their roots and shoot of in spring.

You can't grow black roses they are not a color they naturally grow in, most places either paint them or set them in food coloring to soak up the color.

their is no such thing as a black rose. they haven't been bred yet, whoever is able to make a black rose would make millions of dollars. the closest you can make them is to get them painted or to let them absorb dyed water with alot of different food coloring.

Hint hint: if u are going to use the food coloring use a pinch of sugar to make them last longer but not to much or else they die out really fast.

Well, yes there are "black" roses. They are really dark red and the edges are black. Two varieties I know of are black baccarat and black magic. Oh, and please don't dye or paint roses. They look tacky and don't last very long at all.

There are no true "black" roses. The closest you can get to black is a very deep red.

LOL, ask NAS, jk jk, Find out if there are real or not they are, go to your local Home Depot or Lowes and ask the garden expert for the requirements. If you don't want to go the lengths of that, they go to ehow.com, they might have something. If you don't find it there the Google.com is ALWAYS your friend, lol.
