compounds ~ only formed when 2 or more types of elements combine chemically, the components of a compound cannot be seperated physically, for example, by using heating and electrolysis

mixtures ~ is made up of 2 or more substances combined physically such as juice


glass is a mixture of sodium carbonate, calsium carbonate, silican
egg is a compound
soap is a mixture of oil and salt
petroluem is a mixture

mixtures: glass, egg, soap, crude oil, plastics.
these all have a mixture of compounds& elements
which makes them mixtures.
