1. Chappel - For creating a sense of unsecurity in the team since he has taken charge. So much so that even today we are yet to resolve who will bat where. He also played political game during all the time, and destroyed the potential of two of our most promising players - Sehwag and Pathan. He also tried to destroy Zaheer and Ganguly, fortunately they were strong enough to come back. He destroyed the career of our most promising left arm bowler Nehra and voted for ordinary players like Agarkar and Raina. In fact, in his whole tenure, he was only caring to take players who licks his ***, and not who is having potential. He has messed the most talented cricekt team of the planet.
2. Dravid - For taking batting in a pitch that was supposed to help bowlers in the first half and get drier as the game progressed. For sending Sehwag in the opening instead of Utthapa when Sehwag was playing better down the order in the recent past. For starting the bowling with Agarkar instead of Munaf while defending such a low score and knowing Munaf may be our best bowler at this moment. And then for dropping an important catch.
Both of these two person should be sacked from the team, Dravid is a great player, but he gives his own interest like being captain more importance than winning a game. No one knows why he insisted for Sehwag when he is not in form recently. No one knows why he didn't want Ganguly to back while he was showing excellent form in the recent times (thanks to Vengsarkar that people like Zaheer and Ganguly are back in the team that we can atleast do something today).
This Dravid I will tell is more the culprit than Chappel as Dravid is an Indian, unline Chappel who has come here for money. And then, he understands nothing about captaincy, he doesn't know who should start the bowling or who should open the game, he doesn't even understand how to read the pitch and take good decision after winning a toss.
If India is out of the tournament, a lot of responsibility should also go to More, who made Dravid the captain till world cup with the fear that Ganguly may be back anytime and he can then take charge of the captainship, who is undoubtedly the best captain India has ever had.

keep in mind that when u play any kind of team game say for football, cricket or basketball the game does not depend on one person the whole team is dependent ...u can not point out a single player ..its a team effort...apart from that it was the over confidence of the players which resulted in their loss. wishing india good luck to forget the past and look for the future.

Dravid, that irresponsible captain. Even if he won the toss, he selected to bat (not a perfect decision). Agarkar also did very poor bowling.
......AND Greg Chapell, always telling "Yeea, Indian team is all set for the world cup, te practise is going on well and batsmen are pretty good". You remember he told that their main aim now is to reach the semi finals. Any other coach on his place would tell that the main object is to win the world cup.

Everyone including Greg Chappell are responsible for this abysmal defeat except Saurav and Yuvraj and perhaps Munaf.

ya dravid, sachin, shewag, dhoni failed and got out cheaply, but ganguly and yuvraj looked setteled batsman and should have carried on till the end and helped india with a good score, but they threw their wickets by playing rash strokes,it also resulted ina batting order collapse.
So it was ganguly and yuvraj
