Jokes is not what I mean. Humor is an essential aspect of all lives and fields. At Yahoo answers Humor instead of reducing the seriousness of the purpose will make it more whole and meaningful. Don't you agree?

Let's aim for humour in all aspects of our life rather than compartmentalizing it. Every time I log onto answers I'm sure to smile or laugh reading the answers...even the avatars & names ppl choose for themselves is funny.

I agree that this is a serious question and to add humor into a category of yahoo answers, should also be seriously considered. I think especially as such categories like humor should be put into the correct place, so that people use it responsibly and seriously, so at the right time and at the right dose. I would also suggest to establish a general humor guideline for all who answer to the humor questions as well. How much harm can be indeed spread through the wrong use of such a thing as humor. Too much is always unhealthy, so you can indeed also laugh too much, did you know that? You never know if not a pregnant woman reads your answer. I can tell you if you are highly pregnant and you get a burst of laughter this could induce premature birth.
It is indeed a serious thing, don`t you agree?

Because Humor is everywhere .Even if you are thinking seriously , humor will be behind your thinking . All questions and answers contain humor - if you view it in a light mood .

As a doctor, you should know that "laughter is the best medicine".
I find humour in many of the responses that are made in these forums, and I try to inject some of my own as well.
Sadly, especially in the Philosophy section, so many correspondents are busy being mystic and examining their own navels, that they are unable to engage with the real world and have a bit of a laugh. (and you only have to read the post below to highlight this!)

Humour is inherent in many of the answers, irrespective of where the concerned question belongs. YA is really full of humour in my view... one reason I enjoy it so much!!
