G'day,
I used to be an international student from South East Asia in Australia. I will try to help you abit...
From the 3 countries you mentioned, Australia is most likely have the lowest cost of living, and probably the lowest tuition fee as well. On top of tuition fee you will need to pay for campus fee (vary from each uni) and Overseas Student Health Cover (abt AUD$350/yr) and text books (abt AUD$200). These are the rough estimate of the fees for your study.
Before coming to Australia, you will need to pay the fee for student visa processing and health check-up. You may also be required to take an IELTS test for indication of your English proficiency (depending which country you come from) for application to uni and for visa.
Living cost... Sydney and Canberra have the highest living cost, followed by Melbourne & Brisbane, then Perth, Darwin, Adelaide & Tasmania the lowest. I am attaching a weblink from one of the uni in Melbourne as an indication.
To find out the course that you are taking and where it is offered, I suggest you to go to IDP Education Australia website (www.idp.edu.au). IDP is an organisation that gives information to international students who wants to continue their study in Australia. You need to make sure what psychology you want to study. Once decided on the uni, fill in the application form and send it together with certified copy of your academic qualification (in English and original language).
There are only 39 universities in Australia, therefore the quality and recognition of their graduates are equal from wherever university you are studying from. The most important thing is you have to READ the course information carefully, since some courses may have the same name but different content.
I'm living in Melbourne and this is what you're going to find in Melbourne:
1. First of all... some people do not like the weather in Melbourne (you can have 4 seasons in one day). However, if you read the second weblink from The Age newspaper, you will find out that the weather is still more preferable than the other cities. Sure you can have 42C day like last month, but almost immediately you'll get a much cooler weather pretty soon afterwards. It is very rarely that you got 2 or 3 consecutive days of hot weathers (unlike Sydney, Brisbane or Perth).
2. Melbourne is a city of diversity. If you are a newcomer, and you do not look 'Anglo-Saxon', you do not feel like an 'alien', since you can find almost every race in the world walking in the city. They are both immigrants and overseas students.
3. THE FOOD!! Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Thai, All-you-can-eat, African, Lebanese, Mexican, Sea Food... anything else? All available and lots of them in a very-very-very affordable price
4. Pretty good public transport system. With one ticket, you can switch from train, tram and bus. They do not always come on-time, but still reliable and improving (www.metlinkmelbourne.com.au). Good for students, since not all can afford car.
5. SHOPPING!!! Original branded clothing sold very cheap. There are even shopping tour, where the participants are taken to retails outlets just for shopping. Big temptations for ladies.
6. Crime rates... just read the third article on the bottom.
7. Night Life... hmmmm... I'll say the centre of nite activities will be Crown Casino and Docklands. Altho there are still plenty of cafe's and clubs scattered around the suburbs as well.
8. Tourist attraction. This is the area that I think Sydney is better than Melbourne, since it has most of it's attraction within its suburbs. Most Melbourne attraction are pretty much out of Melbourne, such as the gold mines in the cities of Bendigo and Ballarat, The Great Ocean Road, Lakes Entrance, Grampians, skiing in Mt. Buller etc.
Hope this helps. E-mail me at mikegun@studentfirst.com.au if you have any further queries abt Australia. Good luck on your studies :)

hi there, i think i can advise u in this,i was an international student in the UK not that long, after i spent one year there, in the North of England i can tell you with an objective way the following, first if ur looking for ur happiness go to Canada, its multi-cultural and the people there respect each other, beside that u will enjoy trust me, second if ur not interested in canada consider Ausrtalia its also a nice life style there and no racism, the last choice for u is the UK, in the uk if u find urself with this choice, just go to wales, nice life and nice people with the international students, if u couldnt go to wales, just go to ireland, its is not bad and u will find some people to go out with, if not ireland try scotland although the weather there is not that impressive but the people are ok, u will not be abused as being an international student and the life style there for the international students is good, the last choice for u and i think that u will hold the whole responsible of this choice is to go to england,if u will go there, keep going from the midlands down to the southest spot in england, dont approach the north of england, u will never enjoy believe me,no body will look at u at all,and u will waste ur money for nothing, then u will regret the time u decided to go and study abroad, one more question,do u have a dark hair?or dark eyes?if so,just read what i wrote to u very carefully,by the way you come from malta and i come from a country where the people have similar skin and look to ur people, please read my advises and think about them before u spend ur money, and its ur choice, and good luck

Well, i dont think theres a best place to study. Every place has its own good points and bad points of studying and in UK, Canada, US, Australia they all have their own best universities. About the racisim comments, it rarely happends nowadays because every university has like thousands of students and many of them are from different countries. Many of the locals do respect and get on with international students and its just about how international students see the locals.
On some occasions, you mite wanna consider financially because if you fly to Canada, US or Aussie, only the air fare can be quite costly and you mite be away from home for quite sometime. Every uni has its best areas to hang out and worst place to be. In the end, no one really knows whats the best until u actually get there.
In the end, its all about your own research and it depends all about luck in the end.. all i can say is gd luck!!!

Not gunna happen. Up here we share an extreme Northern border and when your neighbor is above the Arctic circle you have a kinship, we kinda don't know the border. I am happy the Caribou crossed over for the first time in decades and my dear friends can once again hunt. May their tribes, clans and villages eat well and the children live the stories of the Elders and keep the language and culture alive for all time. I know you ask this question just to bait me, the fact is all fore and aft Tublets desire my whisker rub at the waterfall.

This isn't the kind of question you should ask in Yahoo answers. Maybe three people in here would write Australia just to score 2 points.
You should do some research around by asking to people you know ; friends/relatives/friends of friends etc...or if you don't know anyone from these countries, join yahoo communities of the universities you got admitted to. Visit related websites like www.internationalstudent.com or www.campusdirt.com or allaboutcollege.com
Good luck!

Hah another whinging foreigner complainin about us racist brits.
Of course we are the most racist country in the world! that is why you can find examples of every possible race and creed in London. Not only that but just to make sure we keep ourselves supplied with examples to vent our racist spleen on we actively encourage them to come here and pay for their education house them and supply them with sackfulls of money (labelled 'benefits') just to keep them here! Wow what a terrible place to go to! If I were you I would stay at home.
