I know how to type and use Webster's dictionary, but might have difficulty in separating chapters. My ideal thought is to do it "Interview with a vampire" style---to where I can just talk and a journalist would record and write at the same time. Was this just a movie, or are there people that are willing to help me? P.S.---I'm broke.

I would suggest actually writing the book yourself, because it will be expensive to hire someone to transcribe it for you.

Don't worry about things like chapter breaks right off the bat, just write the entire story. Don't include a single chapter if you don't want to-- things like that are meant for the editing process. Once you get the whole story down on paper, you can go through and figure out where the story has natural breaks, and clean up your writing. No writer has perfect first drafts (or second, or third...) and you will need to keep working after it is written.

On another note, printing should NEVER cost thousands of dollars! If you are looking for a traditional publisher or agent, they should not ask for any money up front. If you are looking to self-publish, then try lulu.com because I have never heard of anyone having a good experience with PublishAmerica. Lulu does not require any money up front.

You can seperate chapters most any way you want. I have done so by 'day' and by 'event' but there are other ways too.
