How did the family overcome the adversity of Steve's death, and if they are still dealing with the hardship of his death, what can help them overcome this?

They are a very strong family who loved Steve so very much. It is because of their love for him that they are so dedicated to continue to bring his love for animals to everyone around the world.

With every danger that Steve's put them through, I doubt that they can be stopped by ANYTHING. They're Autralians. They'll survive. :)
Steve died doing what he loved. Nothing really to be sad about there.
