If its a gas stove, u wont see coils. You have an electric stove! Plus if your really unsure, try to move the stove to see if it's plugged in before u turn the knobs! Gas stoves have little holes around them for the gas to come out.

If the stove burners look like the picture, you have an electric stove. Do the burners look like a flame or just red hot steel? If you see a flame, it's gas, if not, it's electric.

Gas stoves have flames, and electric is a coil usually that get red when turned on.

in order for a gas stove to heat it needs to be on fire if you turn on the stove and the coils turn red hot you have electric if you hear a hissing sound you have a gas stove.

gas stoves you have a pilot light on, and defeniatly see a flame. You have an electric stove! Plus if your really unsure, try to move the stove to see if it's plugged in...
