I think it will be better for them to go to a gym or do freehand
exercise/yogasan/aerobics then they will look more beautiful.
Artificiality spoils their beauty.

eh i don't agree, i'm personally a huge fan of makeup and hair dye and all that other female cliche type of stuff... i don't know though, sometimes the women with over processed hair, too much makeup and who go to the tanning bed every day just end up looking fake... i think there can be a happy medium between synthetic beauty and natural beauty

Would you rather have a woman who didn't shave or shower? That falls in line with the type of "maintenance" that you go to the "beauty parlor" for. How about if you never shaved your face or cut your hair? I am probably one of the lowest maintenance women you'll ever meet, I go to the gym, I do yoga, I ride my bike, hike, climb, all that stuff...and I have a man who loves me for who I am. Going to get my hair cut or colored is somewhat therapeutic. Having someone touch you and perform treatments (whether it is a manicure, pedicure, haircut, color, massage) feels good, and that's probably why many of us go, not because we are so vain and shallow.

I don't agree with you. The parlour is meant not only for artifical and surface make-up but also for hair removal, hair cuts, manicures, pedicures, facials, shampoo and blowdry apart from many other services they render.

Although it may seem women who visit the parlour often are shallow, it could also mean that someone who visits often is well groomed and needs help to maintain it.
It's important to be clean and well groomed.

I like to go to the beauty parlor, for the pampered feeling.
I am a mom with four rugrats, and am the one doing the pampering. It is nice to go and have attention bestowed on me and come out looking and feeling better than when I went in. Selfish? Maybe. But if it puts a smile on my face, and helps my self esteem, so be it.

yes Artificiality spoils beauty, but it also depends on what it is,like waxing in general and cutting split ends is just a part of maintaining a well-groomed appearance,it shows self-respect,but the real self-respect that ISN"T artificial the one that LASTS is from inside,so anyways back to the topic,I 50 to 50 agree with you though and yes healthy body and mind is much better than a couple of eyeshadows and lip glosses♥

It's not the same thing. I don't ever go to the beauty parlor, but you know it might just be to get their nails done or their hair done - nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't be so quick to judge them.
