growing right in the middle of my lilac bush?? I've tried digging it up and using a hatchet to chop it out. I only made it angry and it grew back in about 5 different places. I want it gone permanently but without ruining my lilac bush at the same time.

Lol. Yeah, yucca is a hard plant to get rid of. I wish I could help, but I have trouble with those plants, too. But on the bright side, you can always make paintbrushed out of them.

Use undiluted RoundUp on the yucca. Carefuly paint it on a few of the leaves being sure not to get it on your lilac. Otherwise you'll have to dig the long tap roots out - lots of work that might injure the lilac.

You local garden center might be willing to dig it out for free if you will give it to them.
