Hi. I am 47 years old and have been spotting for over a week now after my period ended. It only comes in the afternoon and disappears right after. It don't take birth control pills nor did I have any sexual activity recently. Could it Be pre menopausal?But I doesnt have hot flashes etc.

My mom said she had spotting in between her periods while she was going thru premenopause. Get with your doctor, he can do some tests to see if you are going through it.

most likely it IS pre-menopause. the other scenario is a condition called PCOS, aka, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (i have this condition). PCOS causes weird things to happen to your hormones, thus, causing your periods to do strange things. the best way to find out whats going on is to go see your gyno, and explain to him what your concerns are. he can run tests, and then give u treatment options. good luck!
