Local thrift stores, classified ad papers, etc.

Many states have an Assistive Technology Project or other service for people with disabilities, and they often offer a list of used chairs available. The VA and Paralyzed Veterans sometimes offer such lists as well.

Look in the newspaper ads, and sometimes there is a local Green Sheet ad paper or the Thrifty Nickel that has ads who have people selling items like this.
