I love Mary Kay's foundations! I've found their Medium Coverage foundation to be the best I've used :) Good quality, long wearing, good coverage, etc.
They have lots of different kinds, such as creme to powder, regular liquid in medium or heavy coverage, tinted moisturizer, etc. I'm sure you could find the right formula/color for you :)
Also, the prices are pretty reasonable, from $14-$18. To order (or just try--remember, you can get samples!) any of their foundations, you need to first find a consultant. If you don't know one personally, you can find one at their website.

Good luck!

I have oily skin and have a problem with make-up rubbing off on everything that comes near my face. I love REVLON ColorStay Foundation along with the Colorstay Powder because it comes in a specific formula for oily skin (and normal skin). Not to mention, I have had acne in the past that left scars and this foundation covers it up very well. I get compliments on my complexion daily.
I also use Revlon's Skin lights powder as my bronzer even though most of them aren't really bronze; They warm my face with out making it look yellow. :)

What's your ethnicity and your budget? Also, do you have any skin allergies or sensitivities? I'm Asian (medium/olive skinned) with normal to oily skin and am VERY happy with Loreal's True Match foundation. It's pretty cheap (you can find it at any drugstore) and I have found that they have the best variety of skin tones for most minorities- and believe me, I've tried EVERYTHING...Clinique, Shiseido, Estee Lauder, etc. Just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's good! :)

Try a natural tone that blends well with your skin tone. Most people don't need to use foundation unless their skin is uneven and blotchy all over in appearance. If you really think you need to use one, don't use alot. Just use enough to lightly go over your face.

Alot depends on your age and skin type. I think any "powder base" like Bare Minerals is good but it does not make wrinkles stand out and you can easily control how much coverage you want. It is also good at concealing large pores. Please it feels light on your skin not thick. After using mineral makeup I will never go back to liquids, they make you look much older and that is something none of us want.
