Is it the new thing or because many white women are dating out their race ?

Because more people are realizing that they shouldn't hide who and what they're attracted to just because society will look down on them.
I am very happy that people are thinking outside the box.

No it is not a new thing, this has been going for many many many years...I see nothing wrong with whites dating other skin tones..
One can never judge a book by it's cover, it is what on the inside that counts.

White never has been my favorite color. It's boring. My comfort zone has nothing to do with it. I love people of color. My wife is white, but that happened by chance, not by choice. She just happened to be the one I "clicked" with and fell in love with. If it ever came to pass that she was no longer in my life, I would be actively seeking a woman of color to fill the void.

You just answered your own question. The concept of dating outside your own ethnic group is such a strange, alluring taboo for WOMEN that they focus all their attention on other races. Who else do men have to date other than women of other races? :P

I would hope that people, men or women, could feel free to date whomever they wanted. It is a sign of cultural and social growth nation wide that people are feeling free to date whom they wish. Bigotry, hatred, and racism needs to end for all our sake.
