i was debating this with a friend the other day and i wanted to get some advice or insight on it. i have always seen color, like when i hear music or and instrument playing i swear i can see the colors of the notes being played. its a really weird feeling and I've always had is something wrong with me? just to add some reference im also hypersensitive to things such as light and sound could this have something to do with it? am i crazy?

I doubt it is synesthesia, that would mean you literally see it, meaning you would never be able to drive a car while listening to music because it would block your view. I have had synesthesia on psychedelic drugs and it seems it would be dangerous driving. To answer your question, there is a technique for teaching people how to learn what note is what by associating a certain color with a certain note. So, no your are not crazy, if your were then there are music teachers out there that teach their students to be crazy.

You are not crazy. The Indian music wizards do narrate various instances of the whole audience getting such visions in concerts. That is the beauty and depth of music.
However I would suggest that you go in for learning of meditation in a yoga institute and I think that you will be a good and worthy student.

It's called colour synesthesia. Synesthesia is a neurological condition where two different senses are combined. The most common, form of synesthesia is the combination of colour with letters and numbers; seeing the letter T as red or the number 4 as blue for example.

hey it can happen if u r sensitive to light and so on as music is also kind of waves but if u r seeing colors then dont worry u r just feeling the music as it is and enjoying it it can br that u see color becoz u relate to the kind of music to colors
and no ur not crazy

You should read some books by Oliver Saks. I know he talks about it in one of his books maybe The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat? Anyway, it's not as weird as it sounds (which has a whole new meaning in THIS context! LOL). Here's more about synesthesia:

from what I studied back in my psychology class, I think it's normal in some people, not crazy. I really don't remember tho..
