Jealousy is like a disease, once you have it, it spreads like a plague throughout your body. It makes us bring ourselves down by talking badly of our self, and wanting to be that thing that makes us jealous, or either it just wants for that thing to go away so we won't be jealous. Jealousy is so harsh, the best way not to feel it is don't compare yourself to others by saying what you could be. You are who you are, and you will find people that like you for you, somehow some way. Don't let jealousy get you down, it only makes you more vulnerable to yourself, or in a relationship, or to people. Keep your composure.

Jealousy hurts but isn't a prime emotion, it is a symptom emotion that leads to something else. Jealousy (in a relationship) is about losing control, or losing someone you care about. They are calling someone else, or are hanging out with something else, you feel like you're losing control over the relationship AND you're concerned about being alone ... or left to be alone. These are the reasons the emotion hurts sooooo damn much, it is hitting on some prime internal feeling that cannot be ignored.

Jealousy hurts us because we allow it to consume who we are and what we do. So the real question is why do we let jealousy hurt us? I think we do because we dont always realize we are so jealous until it is too late and then it takes a very long time to reverse the effects its had on us. Jealousy is a feeling and sometimes our feelings just get too way out of hand. Maybe we are just too weak to fight the way we feel or maybe we are not weak, its just that we are taught that what we feel is what we feel and we just have to deal with it. What do you think?

People need the best, and if they dont have the best its like being deprived of any other essential. Jealousy hurts so badly because we see others with better "stuff" and its like taking away our oxygen.
