My son uses it. He used to go to a dermatologist but the meds just weren't doing it. He started using Proactiv and his face is looking a lot better now.

Proactive is for poeple with problem acne( redness, raised pimples with tenderness or itching) . You won't start seeing results untill about the 2nd or 3rd week of use. It drys the skin first then startes to unclogg the subum glands that are producing the oil and sweat. The overall effect of prative is to give your face a breather. Once the hard part is over then the breakouts should be few and fewer. If you just have occasianal acne or breakouts then practive is not for you. it will only irritate skin and produce more breakouts. Try using a sylica acid astringnt with a cotton ball after placing a hot towel on your face for 2-4 min twice a day. Avoid otc soaps because they can be harsh on the skin ( dial, dove, ect.) Instead use a hypoallergenic facial cleanser.

YES!!!!! I have been fighting acne for 20 years. Over the counter products, dermatologists everything but Proactiv. I began it 2 months ago and my skin is smoother and it has never been this clear. It is not perfect yet but every morning I see a difference. I do not mind looking in my mirror. Worth every penny!!!

I had a friend who used it and he had great results with it it did not dry his face out. He used a moisturizer that he got with the proactive stuff. I have seen other ppl use it to and they had good results too. If you do not like it just cancel.

It depends on your skin....it personally didn't work for me...it acutally made my face ALOT worst....you should see a dermatologist before making any decision...he/she will prolly prescribe tropical creams with benzimyicin components...that works...but you have to use it repeatly like proactive....if all fails theres always Accutane? if its REALLY bad:S

It depends I guess.... For me it definitely worked for at first, but my skin was never completely clear like they promised. After using it for a few months it didn't do anything for me and I stopped using it and went back to taking pills from my dermatologist. Now my skin is clear.

It worked quite well for me, but make sure to use sunscreen if you want to try it. Use all three steps as directed to avoid dried out skin. Oh, and the sulphur stuff that you're supposed to use periodically - I was allergic to that, so be careful.

my skin did clear up...not that it was ever really bad but one summer I broke out and didn't care to deal with it so I just bought it and so far it's the only stuff I put on my face. :) Good luck.

I just bought it recently and it's working great! My pores are smaller and it hasn't dried my skin out at all.
