i'll start off by saying that me and my date decided to go with plain white with dark pruple as a complementary color. how bout yall?

I wore a deep orange (sounds crazy, but it's the super hot dark orange that looks hot with a tan!) with my man in a black suit and orange kerchief!!

Cream, white or muted colors. You can stand out by not buying in to the hot color trend.
Everyone is going to be wearing hot pink, bright blue, red or black. Stay away from satin, too, and excessive glitter.

i went to 4 proms and i wore short black dresses to 3 of them, & to the 4th i wore a short pewter-colored asymmetrical dress...it`s nice to have a custom-made dress, that`s what i did...that way u don`t have to worry that someone else will show up with the same or similar dress!!!
