My best friend used to be like you, she used to cry at absolutely anything, and i would just sit there and wonder.
She's never had a real boyfriend, and coincidentally, she cries the most over love stories, and movies such as "Titanic" and "Pearl Harbor". I believe it all depends on what you've been through.
Personally, tragedies and sad stories don't make me want to cry. Even though i am very sensitive to human feelings, reflexion on life itself tends to overwhelm me.

However, i still do cry while watching "Snoopy Come Home".

Ps. I remember you saying that you and your husband aren't from the same religion. Maybe you somehow identify with My Greek Wedding...
I think that the movies we cry over say a lot about us.

You are too sensitives, I cried a lot when I was watching the movie called "Click" by Adam Sandler and especially when he lost his father, but maybe because I lost my father in an early age which made me cry so my matter is an psychological thing.

Yes to both. So your an empath, you know you would rather be one of the boo- hoo'rs then the statue watchers any day.

Don't worry- the thing is that you are getting more out of the movie then the person next to you.

So you have to pretend to itch under your eyes or that you got popcorn salt in them- you get to bring back something from the movie they cannot.

There are some movies that I cannot watch with other people or I I will be too embarrassed.

I have no defense against these movies

I certainly hope so I am a sucker for animal movies.I cry like a baby Bambi, Old yeller...get out the Kleenex, I think everyone cried At My Greek Wedding.....................you are very normal husbands may laugh but crying shows that we have empathy and feelings. Keep watching those movies and keep the Kleenex handy.

I'm as tough a guy as you'll ever meet, but I cried while watching The Passion of The Christ, Matchstick Men, and The Deer Hunter. No, great movies tend to touch people. Be happy about who you are and that you are a caring person.

It is your right to do so. I think it is a good quality in people, shows sensitivity. I cry through movies, TV shows etc. My husband laughs at me too, but he will do the same thing.

It is all right to cry during any movie especially the sad ones. If you are oversensitive that is your personality , you cannot change that. Why try and force yourself to change by bottling it up.
Speaking of crying, I wish everyone would start crying about the quality of some of the movies that are being made today.

Get a load of this...my gf and I and another couple went to watch Step Mom with Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon. Guess what the two ladies said before the movie started. "Get your Kleenex ready." I just couldn't believe it. I think it's just to make you feel you.
It's just normal, psychological or not. That's who you are.

There's nothing wrong with crying; you're just expressing your true feelings.

Besides, I think I'm the worst - I cried with Pocahontas.

Remember when John Smith was shot? Gosh, that made me cry.
