Rape is forcibly committing a sexual act of intercourse. I would check the state statute on how long there would be left to prosecute if you were not married to her at the time and try to get her to prosecute him for it. If I found out she was married to me when he raped her, it would be no question, I would take him someplace secluded by gunpoint and let him feel some incredibly long pain before finally firing a bullet right in the back of his head. His body would disappear in a barrel of lye in no time. No one would ever hurt my wife!

Yes it constitutes rape. Spousal rape is still rape. If she told you, no matter how long after the fact, support her. After all as long as she told the ex no, in any way, shape or form, it was NOT her fault. Just be there for her, suggest counseling for her. Tell her you will go, too...you may need to just to understand how she feels.

This happened to me a few years back with my x-husband after i told him i was going to leave him. I am remarried and my husband is well aware of this event. At the time i did go down to the court house and file a restraining order in family court because we were in the middle of a custody battle. I chose not to pursue it because my children had seen enough ugliness between their father and i. My current husbands opinion was to let it go.

My husband would be over there beating his *** and castrating the bastard. She should have told you, but was probably ashamed even though it wasn't her fault...She needs to get some professional help so she can get over this. She may seem fine now, but problems always arise later on down the road. Good luck to you two!

You can contact the authorities if she wants to press charges...but that doesn't really help her. That is putting the focus on HIM. Retribution is a worthless endevour. You getting mad is about YOU. Now her getting mad, or still being emotionally wounded, well, that is about her. And this is about her.
Help her contact the nearest organization that helps women that have been traumatized. They offer free help and counseling. She needs someone to support her and help her heal herself. Be supportive by helping her contact the right people who can help her.

Yes, it's rape and I'd go on down to the hardware store and buy me a new shovel to dig a big big hole.

If this was her ex, then it may be hard to believe, especially since she waited two years to mention it. What made her admit it so long afterward? It's possible, but hard to deal with from this perspective.
