There is no common household item to cut glass. You need a glass cutter and someone already said it cost $7, it cost somewhere around 5 to 7 bucks.
It has a roller whell on it that scores the glass. it doesn't cut it.
You need to use a good straight edge to run the cutter down to make certain you score it in a straight line. If you score it and the score isn't straight it will break into many pieces.
After you get a good score on it, you lay it on a table or something flat so as to have the scored line right on the edge of the table. Hold the part laying on the table with one hane, and use your other hand, grasp it firmly and with a swift snap, break it by putting pressure on the overhanging part of the glass.
Please wear gloves sense this is surely your first time at cutting glass. If you don't and the glass shatters, which even professionals do sometimes, even myself, it can cut you very bad. And I am talking many stiches.
It is real easy to do, after you learn how.
Just put a lot of pressure on the cutter when you do the scoreing.
You are only supposed to run the cutter across the glass one time, but I have found if you have someone else holding one end of the straight edge, such as an aluminum square and "MAKE SURE" it doesn't move, it breaks better if you run the roller or cutter across it two times.
Make sure you get the score all the way to the edge on both sides.
If it is 1/4" or thicker glass, take the ball end of the cutter and tap lightly, along the bottom side of the scored line and you will see a crack forming. continue to tap right at the end of the crack until you get all the way across.
This is what the ball on the end of the cutter is on there for.
I hope this helps and get me a best answer also, lol.

Rip the serrated strip from a container of aluminum foil or waxed paper and shape it into some thing that appeals to you. it is flimsy and actually sharp, so be careful whilst utilising it as a cookie cutter. Sprinkles won't stick except you utilize a glaze, so blend some powdered sugar and milk till you get a gloopy consistency and upload one million drop of almond extract. Dip the cooled cookies into the glaze and as we communicate sprinkle with pink and eco-friendly colored sugar, my very own fashionable colorings. The glaze will business enterprise up and shop the sprinkles in place. Yum, i think of i'm gonna circulate bake some cookies.

Your wife's or girlfriend's diamond engagement ring should work. Diamonds are harder than glass. But it would make more sense to get a glass cutter at a hardware store. They aren't expensive, just a few bucks.

a razor blade. Just be sure glass is wet...I'm not sure why it has to be wet, but it works.
