A "superpower" is a state with the first rank in the international system and the ability to influence events and project power on a worldwide scale; it is considered a higher level of power than a Great power.

It is the same thing as a humbug. It is a concoction of left leaning Euroweenies. The U.S. and the Soviet Union were called Superpowers because each of the two nations spanned continents and emerged from WWII with massive military machines. The Europeans tried to act as referees between the two and play one against the other for their own interest.

After the collaspe of the Soviet Union they were no longer able to do that and then cried the U.S. is the lone superpower like it was some kind of a disaster. Fact is there is no such thing as a superpower. If there was, the North Korean's wouldn't have nukes and the Iranians wouldn't be trying to build them.

As for India, it lacks only the will to make it happen. They lack the excess productive capacity necessary to produce first class military hardware in sufficient quantities to make a difference. All they would have to do is what China has done free their economy from the shackles of socialism.

It is a relatively new term that describes the same thing that the ancient Persian Empire had built. Then along came a fiesty Greek named Alexander to claim super power status. The very same thing has been happening down through history. The Romans did it too and so on.

I read or heard somewhere that the average lifespan of these popular movements we have called Empires or political ideas are 220 years.

It was sometime after WWII where the US became a super power. Time still ticks away, change will come again.

economically and militarily strong. India can't be a superpower in Asia, China is the only possible country to be a superpower regionally.

That's easy.

A "Super Power" is able to exert it's economic and military influence globally. Who else but the U.S. could attack Brazil with overwhelming force tomorrow?

(No fear Brazil, we're not after you. Just an example)

Russia has no navy to transport troops overseas (to speak of), and neither does China, India, or any other major player you may think about. Only the U.S. can exert world power of the economic and military magnitude that we can.

Super power needs to be white, like the devil.
India is better than that.

Don't play Europe's filthy game.
