Why don't you have a boys get together on that day - I don't believe that there is a written law that says that women are the only ones that can have a baby shower. You are after all the father and will have a lot to do with the raising of your child so why should she have all the fun. Its probably just her hormones that making her moody - the moods of a pregnant lady change so often you just don't know what to do. Lots of luck with your baby and congratulations.

I commend you just for wanting to help. Is this your baby? If so, that baby is lucky to have a dad that is so concerned and interested in him/her even before s/he's born. Anyway, a baby shower is mostly a woman thing (usually thrown by the grandparents). I'm afraid there's not much else you can do except maybe help decorate (before the shower then leave) or buy something for the mother.

Its really sweet of you to want to help soo badly. Im only two months but when I do have mine I want my husband and the other men and my family to have fun as well so I want to have a big family bbq! My husband, and dad can cook out and have the whole family sit around and eat foood and talk and participate in baby games. It can be a lot of fun to have your whole family there and i thin you should ask your wife if she would be open to inviting her male family members and your male family members and letting you enjoy the festivites! After all, its your baby too!!!!!

We only need men to make babies and carry heavy stuff so......arrive early to help cleanup/set up tables and chairs. Leave. Come back at the end to help clean up/take down tables chairs and carry the gifts to the car. Oh yeah....make sure you buy the biggest gift on the baby registry.

you could always throw a male version of a baby shower.... a diaper party
you purchase food and a keg...guests bring a package of diapers per person and can eat/drink all they want...till the supply is gone. you can state that you would prefer them to get like stage 1 diapers so that you have a good supply of them...they grow out of newborn ones really quick
my husband had one for both of our kids...great way to save $$ on diapers and for dad to have his own party to celebrate baby :)

you can help out by giving money, so she can buy whatever she wants for the shower. how about being on call to serve drinks and snacks?
