I am extremely happy with my Dell computer. And any questions or problems I have, there is a 24 hour on-call tech supports service.

Make a note of what you want exactly. Write down the specifications and don't be afraid to ask around. Go to a few PC shops, owner operated and compare the information you get because some get kickbacks for using certain brands. When you are satisfied that you know exactly what you want try to find out from friends and acquaintances which dealer does a good job. Then have your PC built by that dealer. It may cost a bit more up front but if you do your homework you will be able to go back to him and get advice, service and upgrades. You may be able to swap or trade in the parts that do not perform as you want it to. In that respect a local dealer beats big firms.

I think the best "pre-built" pc's are from Dell.
I have had mine for the past year and use it as my DVR (digital video recorder) and it rocks! With no bugs of any sort.

Just make sure you keep the hard drive clean though.

I found a 1 day deal for a Dell Dimension E1505 Desktop, fully loaded with a 19" LCD for only $529 + FREE SHIPPING.
Here is the link to that deal:

Hope this helped

Personally for me, Gateway is my reliable brand.
But since you like doing so much, I guess you will need a lot of memory, I recommend you buy a custom made desktop.
More like a 2gig of Memory RAM and maybe, depending on the File of Songs, I recommend a 200 or 500gig of memory hard drive. Well those are just my recommendations, although, it could be pretty expensive.Jejeje...!

Dell. Runs like a champ and very affordable if you stay one or two models behind.
