Isn't that the truth . That's obvious the radical left doesn't even know we had a terrorist attack on 9/11 ...the one on Clinton's watch was no big deal either . What's a little terrorism ? Liberals are too busy blaming America first to let anything stand in the way . Do you think the families and loved ones of all who died or were maimed & hurt on 9/11 have forgotten already , too ? Whatever happened to ideas like freedom ? Courage ? Human dignity ? Nobody wants war ; but in this country , when our freedom is taken from us brutally , on our own shores , thank God we still have a president who acts like a man - and does something to combat terrorists . You liberal democrats trying to shove us into Communism , call Americans who love freedom nothing but a bunch of flag wavers . What flag are you waving tonight ? Mine is Red , White & Blue .

The first Gulf War never ended but a UN sanctioned cease fire was signed by coalition forces and the Iraqi regiem. The cease fire stated that the coalition forces would set up no fly zones and Saddam was to disarm.

9/11 happened and we declared war on terror (not only those responsible for 9/11). We crippled Al-queda and then as luck has it we were technically still at war with Iraq. Iraq supported terrorism and supposedly had the largest stockpile of Bio-chem weapons that might fall into the hands of terrorists (based on State department records going back durring the Clinton administration). Since Iraq had never disarmed; had thrown out the weapons inspectors in 1998; and was now in violation of countless UN resolutions we pushed for resolution 1441. It was passed unanimously by the UN security council; including France, Germany, and Russia. These three countries felt it was just another useless resolution like the previous 16 and they could continue to trade with Iraq under the noses of the UN. Iraq slowly allowed UN inspectors back into the country but not without the mounting pressure of a quarter of a million coalition troops on Saddams border. We pressed the issue of disarmament and proof of the destruction of the WMD that he had in the early '90's. He refused to acknoledge their existance so we resumed the war. At the same time France, Germany and Russia became concerend that if the US invaded they might find proof that these three countries were trading with Iraq even though there was a trade embargo against Iraq. They did everything they could in an attempt to derail the invasion. With an October 2002 vote in the house and senate, which showed a wide margin of approval, the president was given the authority to invade. We resumed the Gulf War.
