What are your opinions on USC's bball future?

Question

After a way above par season and OJ Mayo coming to town for a year, how many think USC will steal UCLA's crown in bball next year and make a run to the final four and beyond next year?
This question is regardless of Sunday's USC v. Texas game, which i expect to be close, but still a UT victory, even though i am a diehard SC fan.

I am a diehard fan. Being diehard doesn't mean I can't see reality. We lost to so many bad teams is what worries me. Arizona State for crying out loud. Be still, here we are in the tourney, in round two. I am so proud of our boys for making it this far. Still one win over the Shockers is not beating a lot of good teams. Yes, we beat WSU in the Pac-10 tourney, but it took OT to do it. And WSU lost today. But true, i am much more diehard for the football squad, but i want our bball team to do well as well.

Yes, the boys played a great game. Still the points are going to the other dude because he answered the actual questions. I am going to stop doubting. The boys played an awesome game.

USC's future is very bright. You should be excited. Mayo is kind of a scoring point guard type like Iverson so he can blend well with Nick Young as the off guard, and with Gibson coming back next year with more experience, this looks like one solid nucleus. Add to that brand new facilities, improved recruiting, and Tim Floyd (great college coach) and you have every reason to be optimistic.

Whether they overtake UCLA is another question. Remember, UCLA's prize recruit, Kevin Love, is every bit as hyped as Mayo is. Plus, Howland is every bit the coach that Floyd is. I think both schools will be strong in the coming years, and by strong I mean Final Four potential and beyond. Perhaps we have a Duke/NC quality rivalry in the making.

SC will win that game, you can't call yourself a die hard if you don't believe, SC has beat better teams than Texas this year, Durant is one player, but you forget Tim Floyd is a great BB Coach and will have a scheme to try and control him.

We beat Oregon Twice, the last time they met UNC, we beat them, after tomorrow, it will be Texas, then UNC..Oh yee of so little faith, we have only just begun, your so called reality sucks....Its not a good year yet until we get into the sweet 16...then we will make new goals.

Ok go ahead and give me my 10 points for trying to show you the light, USC is so under rated this year. They can play with anybody in the country...You just have to believe and see the talent that they put on the court, Tim Floyd is a great head coach, and now its time to start taking names & kickin butt. Do you believe they can beat UNC ?
