Just as the guy was dumping it .... a lovely old chair and matching side table. Both were carved mahogany, and the seat of the chair was upholstered in a stunning, hand sewn tapestry. This was a young fella who wanted to make his place "contemporary" and was chucking all the old stuff his grandma had given him to start his first apartment. I eventually got the name of the grandma, called her and thanked her. She was so happy the furniture went to someone who would love and appreciate it. It still takes "pride of place" in my living room.

I said "Mr. Westbrook,are you going to throw this out?" and he gave me this cool neon sign of Coors Beer.I had that for years.(that was 40 yrs. ago.)
